I sent for Tobias Koppenhaver’s and John Henry Frey’s Civil War Pension files.  I am most anxious to receive both!

A little research of Berrysburg, Dauphin County, PA told me there was a Koppenheffer school there.

And one last tidbit: In 1896, adultery and fornication were crimes for which they did prosecute!  Imagine if they still did that today; our courts would be flooded with cases.
